Just after 9 P.M. Garden City (STA. 65) was dispatched to assist Brookhaven (STA. 52) on the 4000 BLK of Edgemont Ave. for the Building Fire. First arriving units had nothing showing but after further investigation crews discovered an active electrical fire in the walls. Ladder 65 responded under the direction of Chief Joe Lombardo (65-9). Upon arrival, Ladder 65 was ordered to take the rear of the building and check the roof. The crew from the Ladder threw ground ladders and checked the roof. The fire was contained to the area of origin. Company 65 remained on location for about an hour. Just after returning to the station Ladder 65 along with Parkside (STA. 45) for an engine were dispatched to Cover Green Ridge (STA. 63) while they operated on a large oil spill on Pancoast Ave. Units cleared around 00:30.
