Just after 9 AM Garden City (Sta. 65), Brookhaven (Sta. 52), and Parkside (Sta. 45) for the RIT were dispatched as the 2nd alarm assignment to the 700 Block of Hinkson St. in Chester City. Chester 11 was on location with heavy smoke showing and fire in the exposure building. Ladder 65 responded under the direction of Chief Joe Lombardo (65-9) and was ordered to the front of the building. The crew from the Ladder 65 under the direction of Captain Joe McCauley relieved the crew from Engine 82 on the fire floor, while two others assisted with checking for extension in the exposure and assisted with overhaul. Ladder 65 remained on location for about 2 hours.
