While crews from Garden City (Sta. 65) and South Media (Sta. 51) were cleaning up from a MVA on North Providence Road. Fire Board did a copy and responded to 400 block of Hidden Valley for the building fire. On the building fire response was Garden City (Sta. 65), South Media (Sta.51), Media Ambulance (23-7) and the RIT out of Parkside (Sta.45).  Nether Providence P.D. Officers Kevin Smith and Mike Markunas along with Upper Providence P.D. Officer George Moore 3rd where first on location, reporting heavy fire on the second floor with all occupants out of the building. Rescue 51 under the command of Captain Mike Divirgilis (51-12) and Engine 65-2 under the command of Deputy Chief Pat O’Rourke Sr. (65-9A) were next on scene at this point there was heavy smoke coming out of the roof and visible fire out a second floor window. Deputy Chief O’Rourke directed Captain Wayne Kuehler(65-12A) to use the deck gun and do a quick hit on the fire coming out of the second floor window.  The crew from 65-2 firefighters Tom Artingstall and Pat O’Rourke Jr along with D/C Pat O'Rourke Sr. then did and aggressive attack on the fire on the second floor containing it to the attic space and two rooms on the 2nd floor. Deputy Chief Ed Kline (51-9A) arrived and assumed command. Upon the arrival of Ladder 65 (65-5) under the command of Assist Chief Brent Hopkins (65-9B) the crew was directed to open up the roof.  A second alarm was hit out bring Media (Sta. 23), Brookhaven (Sta. 52), Rose Tree (Sta. 73) and 2nd RIT out of Swarthmore (Sta. 14). Companies were on scene for about 4hours. Good job was done by all on scene. Thanks to Rutledge/Morton (Sta. 11), Ridley Park (Sta. 07) and Marcus Hook Trainer (Sta. 68) for providing covers.
